Throughout the course, participants explored how to use AI and emerging technology thoughtfully, responsibly, and creatively, then used AI to code learning experiences for faculty, staff, and leaders around the technology gaps and questions they identified together.

From learning about AI to building with AI

Bowie State University educational leaders became creators

In Bowie State University's EDAD 903: Critical Issues in Technology, the course moved beyond treating AI as a content generator. Participants examined how technology can support design, analysis, research, automation, decision making, workflow improvement, and new forms of learning while keeping human judgment at the center.

Working with Dr. Robinson, participants used AI as a creative and development partner to code interactive learning experiences for educational faculty, staff, and leaders.

They considered not only what technology can do, but when it adds value, when it creates risk, how it changes work, and how learning science should shape technology integration.

The goal is not to use AI everywhere. The goal is to develop the judgment to decide where technology adds value, where human expertise matters most, and how the two can work together.
